New Lights could not function without the generous support of its sponsors.
A self-taught artist herself, Valeria’s love of art and belief in its importance as a means of enriching the lives of everyone, irrespective of their background, has led to her support for New Lights.
Valeria was New Lights‘ main sponsor in 2011, and has committed to continuing her support for the next award to be made in 2013.
Swinton Park is a luxury castle hotel set in 200 acres of landscaped parkland in the Yorkshire Dales, just outside the market and brewery town of Masham. It is the ancestral seat of the Earl of Swinton and is owned by the Cunliffe-Lister family. Facilities at the hotel include a Bird of Prey Centre, Spa, Cookery School and beautiful gardens.
Whilst the hotel is richly furnished with family portraits and antiques, numerous contemporary art exhibitions have been held at the hotel since it opened in 2001. “We are delighted to support young artists from this part of the world, and think that New Lights is a very worthy initiative”, commented Felicity Cunliffe-Lister. www.swintonpark.com
